general list that I can print out. It would list staples and my family could check off what we need before I go to the store. Thanks for your help. And, while I’ve got you, I guess I’ll try to squeeze in a second question for free. Have you tried online shopping? How has it worked for you?

I’ve been tempted to use vons.com but never have…I like looking at and picking my own meat & produce! Its a neat idea though.
As for a list, why don’t you just generate one in Word or Excel and then you’ll have one that is custom-made to YOUR needs and specifications for your household? It might take a little longer initially, but I think in the end it might be better for you personally….

I think http://www.allrecipes.com does a list. And I only do online shopping at eBay. It has worked for me, I haven’t had a seller do me wrong yet.

Re shopping lists, I use a cooking computer program – Mastercook, and it will print the ingredients etc for the recipes. Re shopping on line — I’ve tried Albertson’s and Vons, but much prefer Albertson’s. For me, it’s worth $9.95 to have tthe important/heavy items delivered — no driving around, gas, parking, check-out lines. It’s not perfect, but saves time & hassle.
