What are the Advantages and Disadvantages for Online Shopping if your a Store Owner?

Posted on February 19th, 2010 by admin

I’m stumped on this one…
I have pop-ups opposed to salesmen but this is a tough one..

Any ideas would be appreciated :)

Advantages: Much lower staff costs; more flexible hours; higher gross revenue per employee-hour; higher average transaction size; no sales tax collection in states where no physical presence exists.

Disadvantages: No cash sales (credit card only); picking & packing costs; shipping costs; increased risk of fraud; no checkout-aisle impulse purchases; easier price comparison online.

People buy from those they KNOW, LIKE, and TRUST.

If you fulfill all those things.. then just wait it out and you’ll make a few dollars…

Make sure to use "links" not pop-ups. People use blockers for that very reason..

Upsell, upsell, upsell… this is very important.

Also… sell eBooks. People like to HAVE IT NOW! It’s called "Instant Gratification." eBooks are a HOT seller online.
