Is shopping online for clothes worth it?
Posted on November 28th, 2009 by admin
I don’t do too much online shopping, but a friend recently invited me to join this sale notification website. I joined and there seems to be a lot of good sales and stuff, but I’ve had problems in the past with trying to find the right size. Also, I feel like shipping is just going to outweigh the costs of the sales. Do you find shopping online worthwhile? How much of your shopping is done online? What kinds of things are best to buy online (everyday basics vs. specialty items)?
The only time I buy clothes or shoes online is for brands I buy regularly where I know my size — if the brand is consistent in sizing! I definitely won’t buy for brands where I’ll be a Small in one item and a Medium in another. Even then, there are certain items I’d never buy online, like jeans, because they have to fit JUST right.
I find shopping for clothes online most useful is when I see something in a store I like, but they’re out of my size or colour. Most times, I’ve been able to find what I want online.
Delivery prices can vary – there are a lot of sites that either don’t charge delivery, like zappos.com, or where delivery is still reasonable.
Can you let us know what that sale notification website is? I’d like to sign up for that!

Sure,if you really enjoy it.Some websites don’t offer the sizes ,so you might as well check the stores.About 10% of my shopping is done online.
What you could buy online:
table
coach
desk
tv
computer
lamp
clothes
shoes
purses
fan
pillows
bed
& anything else you could use at home

Yes, it’s worth it if you have the credit cards for them
It’s worthwhile if you know your body size. But remember, most clothing sizes can vary because some are stretchable and some may be too tight even though its your ‘real size’. Depending on the website, shipping costs are not that steep. I shop online about once every two to three weeks. Why? It’s because they’re very expensive online
Hope I’ve helped!

YES!!!! I shop Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom online and sometimes find things up to 80% off. Plus I’ve found some cool stuff from the U.K. that I can’t find in the U.S. And some stores even send you return envelopes in case something doesn’t fit.

I love to shop online, I don’t do a lot of shopping online but sometimes you can find great things and you can wear your pajamas!
If you shop at the same place you usually figure out your size and just know what size to but, get measuring tape and follow the size charts, every place I have shopped at sends a return sticker in case you need to send it back. Clothes, shoes and jewelry are what I buy online.

I think it would be a good idea to shop online if you don’t live close to the store you want to shop at! Also if you shop online it will take a little bit long to get to you. I basically buy clothes online because the closest store is about 30 miles away. 30 miles isn’t to far to go shopping but I shop regular! I usually buy clothes and shoes online but like you I have a problem finding the right size. I usually just buy the size I wear but if they don’t have your size, you would most likely have a better chance to find your size in the store!
HOPE I HELPED

Shopping on line is totally worth it! There are sales online that you could never find in regular stores and they always have more items in-stock. Just make sure that when you do buy things online make sure that the site is safe or make sure that it’s safe to put your money information, I suggest making an account on Paypal, they protect and record your money and everything that you buy so you’ll never be scammed out of your money and don’t worry, Paypal is totally free. Enjoy shopping online =^-^=

I mostly shop online for CDs, sometimes t-shirts and sometimes DVDs oh and sometimes books.
I think its worth it for CDs from places like Amazon, or CDWOW (free shipping). Its good with Amazon because you can get used CDs which are still in mint condition at cheap prices (CDs that might have just been played once) and there’s a rating system for sellers with feedback percentages so you know you’re not getting ripped off.
I only look for t-shirts which i can’t find around my city because I like finding unique designs. Threadless is where I usually buy t-shirts online.
And sometimes Etsy (site for handmade goods) is where you might find some goodies (not usually necessary things you need but its good for gift ideas). Its just people who set up an online store and sell things they make by hand. I bought a bag and some pin badges off there. You can also search "local" on there, so for people who live in your city or country which would cut costs on shipping.
The only place i shop for DVDs is the JB Hi-Fi (Australia) website. They sometimes have better deals on the site than in store. I don’t have a multi-region DVD player so I can’t play DVDs from the US and so.
As for books, I havn’t bought any from Amazon (they have a big range though) but I found a site called The Book Depository (UK site) which gives free shipping worldwide and pretty good prices which is great!
Overall I think (and obviously) its only worth shopping online if you can get it cheaper online than in the real store, or if you really need/want the thing. Have fun!

I shop online for almost everything…. I have access to over 1100 different companies and have found a way to shop and get paid for doing it…. Pretty cool. getting paid to eat a pop tart or drink an energy drink or to use skin care or even to wash my clothes….
